Motion exercises: part 1
STOP MOTION: i used fast shutter speed for these shots. I made sure to catch the middle of the action. The shots were fairly easy. What helped me was to stay steady and have good lighting.

BLURRED MOTION: I used a slow shutter speed for these shots.I made sure to capture simple motions to not make it that difficult. For the light one i watched a youtube video, which explained how to do it, again i used the slow shutter speed, used my phone flash did the star over and over again and then left the shot and turned my light off.

PANNING: Here i used a more slower shutter speed and moved my camera at the same time. Here the lighting was important so i went out on a more gloomy day so the lighting wouldn't be too harsh and it would be consistant. I had a lot of trial and errors, but ended getting the hang of it

LONG EXPOSURE: again i used a slow shutter speed. Went out at night because it was easier to get good shots. I went out to find lights outside so we could see the long exposure effect perfectly

self portrait : part 2
BEX DAY: a photographer that’s used to work in big teams decided to create a series self-portrait (called: Seesaw)during the lockdown since it was impossible to meet with people. She wanted her series to be personal, raw and different from the content she was used to making. It was a response to how she dealt with the pandemic, the ups and the downs. She used this project as a coping mechanism to release her creative thoughts. The series touched on the new reality that we all have, and how it has affected us. She used different props, used different lighting and shadows. Her pictures are not all edited the same way which gives every picture a different effect.

SELF-PORTRAITS: I wanted to create something with an effect, so i took many different pictures where I had a different emotion in my face. I decided to overlay them so it would show what's going on in mind vs what I show to the world. Each picture represents a different set of emotions. I placed my camera at a levelled angle and put it on self timer. Some of them i took where it wasn't all the way focused so the effect could be more noticeable. For the black and white one I took the pictures in a darker lighting so when I edited them they would have a little more texture. For the others i edited them and put a light tint of different colours to showcase of different each one was. The colours also match the emotions. I added at the end 2 of the pictures that I took where they were not edited, to show how much I changed them to the final result that i wanted to achieve.
